Lincoln on Leadership contains a collective of stories and lessons from Abraham Lincoln’s time as President of the United States. Lincoln took over the presidency during a difficult time in United States history—right at the brink of the civil war. He experienced much opposition in his lead up to taking office. While in office, he worked hard (and eventually succeeded) to abolish slavery and stop the south from seceding. I learned an immense amount from this book (both about leadership and history). It’s a quick read if you’re looking to get a primer for how one of our greatest presidents commanded his office.
